Arrival on Thursday, May 22:
Shuttles from O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to Illinois State University’s campus will beleaving on Thursday, May 22 with the earliest shuttle leaving at 10 a.m. and the latest shuttle leaving at 3:45 p.m. We pushed our last shuttle back based on 3 institutions who had arrival times that were too close to 3 p.m. to make it to the shuttle.
We are going to be assigning you to shuttles based on your airplane arrival time and thoseshuttle times will be emailed to you soon so that you can plan ahead. We tried to get you on theshuttle that is closest to your arrival time so that we can decrease your time spent at the airportas much as possible. Some information that you should know, regardless of which shuttle youwill take to Illinois State University’s campus, is provided below. When you arrive at O’Hare on May 22, please make your way to Arrival Terminal #2.Make sure to stay inside the airport in order to meet with other NACURH delegations and our conference team members who will be on sight. For those that are flying into Terminal 5, please note that you will have to take the Airport Transit System (ATS) in order to get to Terminal 2. Their website states that it takes an average of 10 minutes to get from one end of the route to the other. Once you are at Terminal 2 for arrivals, please find Jocelyn Williams, the Security and Transportation Chair, and Emily Swigart, one of our Housing professional staff members. They will be there to help gather and check-in NACURH folks, answer questions, connect with the shuttle drivers, and to help provide a smooth transition to our campus.

Shuttle Information

Signature Transportation will be providing all shuttle services on Thursday, May 22

Their shuttles have a restroom on the bus, you will be able to drink water on the shuttle,and eat snacks. We just ask that you please throw away any trash on your way off of theshuttle once you get to campus.
Departure on Sunday, May 25
Shuttles from Illinois State University’s campus, specifically Hewett-Manchester Halls, to O’Hare will be leaving on Sunday, May 25 with the earliest shuttle leaving at 4:30 a.m. and the latest shuttle leaving at 11 a.m.
We are going to be assigning you to shuttles based on your airplane departure time and those shuttle times will be emailed to you soon so that you can plan ahead. We tried to get you on the shuttle that accounts for a longer 2-2.5 hour long drive and about an hour to get through the airport’s security and to your gate. For example, if your flight leaves at 8:45 a.m., we placed you on the earliest shuttle (4:30 a.m.) instead of our second shuttle (6:00 a.m.) to make sure you get there on time. Some information that you should know, regardless of which shuttle you will take to O’Hare, is provided below. When you prepare to get on the shuttle from Hewett-Manchester on May 25, pleasemake your way to the Hewett-Manchester lobby near the front desk and mail boxes.Once you are there, please find Jocelyn Williams, the Security and Transportation Chair, and Taylor Barnard, the Security and Transportation Advisor. They will be there to help check-in the folks who are on each shuttle, answer questions, connect with the shuttle drivers, and to help provide a smooth transition back to O’Hare.

The shuttle will drop off all riders at Terminal 2 departures.

For those that are flying from Terminal 5, please note that you will have to take the Airport Transit System (ATS) in order to get there from Terminal 2.
