CASE STUDY COMPETITION

Thank you for your interest in competing in the Case Study Competition.

Here is what you need to know:

  • NACURH case studies involve critical thinking and development of original solutions to ethical and leadership-based scenarios.

  • The questions underneath each case study are there to help guide you in analyzing the case study and you are by no means required to answer directly in your presentation

  • Case study teams must be comprised of 3-5 students for the student case studies and 1-3 advisors for the advisor case studies.

  • Case study teams will have a maximum of 10 minutes to present to a panel of 3 judges

  • After each presentation, each of the 3 judges will be allowed 2 questions to clarify arguments and supporting logic.

  • Case study teams can use any of the following platforms for their presentations:

    • PowerPoint

    • Google Slides

    • Prezi

    • Canva

  • Teams will be scored on a 1-5 scale based on the following criteria:

    • Thesis

    • Supporting Ideas

    • Organization

    • Creativity

    • Presentation Style

    • Theory (ADVISOR CASE STUDIES ONLY)

  • The competing categories that will be featured at this year's conference are:

    • First-Time Delegates

    • Student Leader/Staff

    • Advisor

    • Diversity & Inclusion (Advisor)

    • Diversity & Inclusion (Student)

    • Current Issues (Advisor)

    • Current Issues (Student)
